1. Belt tearing caused by impurities in the conveyed materials. For coal ports, impurities in the conveyed materials are mainly caused by poor coal quality. Large pieces of coal and various impurities in the raw coal, such as ironware, wooden sticks, etc., cause about 70-80% of tearing. Therefore, ensuring the quality of the source coal is the key to preventing tearing.
2. Belt tearing caused by improper installation of belt conveyor auxiliary equipment. There are many auxiliary equipment for belt conveyors. The falling of linings, sharp iron objects adsorbed by iron removers, and improper installation of sweepers may cause tearing and scraping of the conveyor belt. Ordinary conveyor belts do not have a lateral protection structure and cannot prevent tearing.
3. Belt tearing caused by the imperfect structure of the belt conveyor. Due to the imperfect structure of the belt conveyor, the drop point of the conveyor belt has a large drop, the relative speed of impurities in the coal flow is large, the impact force is large, and sharp, hard and long impurities are easy to insert into the conveyor belt at the drop point, causing the conveyor belt to tear.
4. Conveyor belt tearing caused by blocking. The transfer chute is small, which easily hinders the passage of materials and impurities and causes the conveyor belt to tear.
5. The deviation of the conveyor belt causes the edge to be pulled.
6. The return belt rolls up coal, etc.
In addition, the aging of the edge rubber of the conveyor belt joint causes water to enter the core layer of the conveyor belt, causing the steel rope to rust and pull out, which can also cause tearing.
